Sunday School Summer Happenings - August 5th

Catch Jesus in Action: A Holy Land Adventure for the whole family.

Our Holy Land Adventure begins at 5:30 p.m. on the evening of August 5th with dinner hosted by the Brandolino Family.

The setting includes various tribes and tents, including the Synagogue with Rabbi Charles Cornell.

There will be activities such as bread baking, stone carving and shell jewelry for the local shopkeeper; a playground with games; music and dancing; as well as instruction in the Synagogue.

This Holy Land Adventure is not just for kids, and we encourage folks to come in period costume (old white sheets and rope for belts make for simple costumes).

There will be a sign-up sheet in the parish hall for you to sign to let us know you will be attending so we can plan the food and materials for the activities.

There are some items we need to accommodate our evening:

2-4 Easy-Ups

Fishing nets

We also need some creative and non-creative people to help decorate and set up.

If you can help in any of the above ways contact Wendy Aspegren.

Life Line Screening

Ten minutes could help save your life.   Trinity Episcopal Church will be hosting a Life Line Screening on Wednesday, December 17, 2008.  Life Line Screening will be performing ultrasound tests for vascular diseases such as stroke, (AAA) abdominal aortic aneurysm, (PAD) peripheral arterial disease, Atrial Fibrillation (Afib) for heart disease and stroke, as well as an osteoporosis screening for both men and women.  These screenings are completely painless, non-invasive, and requires about an hour to complete. This is a prevention program, and with early detection, these problems can be treated.  The results are sent directly to you and Life Line Screening encourages you to take them back to your primary care physician.  All five screenings are $149.  Pre-registration is required as our events fill up fast.  Call 800-324-1851.

Trinity Outreach

St. Matthew's Church Outreach:  We will be collecting breakfast food for St. Matthew’s Church during the month of June.  Items such as cereal (cold or cooked), pancake mix, dry milk, and etc.  Monetary donations need to have "St. Matthew's" in the memo area of checks or on your envelopes.

Twin Lakes Food Bank:  Ingathering every second Sunday of the month.  Items needed can be found here.  The food bank's general food supplies are nearly gone.  We ask that you continue to be generous in your giving and support of the Twin Lakes Food Bank.

Junior Warden Home Page

Here's your chance to submit your comments and concerns regarding the church's facilities directly to our Junior Warden.

E-Roster

The e-roster is different than the e-mail addresses that Gerry may have on file for the various ministries.  It is for the purpose of keeping members of Trinity Folsom informed of memorials, special announcements, upcoming activities and more.  Only Fr. Charles, Mother Teri and the Office Staff will have access.

Signing up is simple: use your web browser (Explorer, Safari or whatever you have on your computer) type in the web address www.trinityfolsom.org/email and fill out the online application. (This Site is a Secure Site with SSL.)

Add/Change/Delete - Please Help Us Keep Our Church Records Current By Completing a Membership Form

For all newcomers and those who have joined our parish this past year, there is a yellow Membership Form for you to fill out with pertinent information for our database.  This information includes birthdates for family members, baptism and confirmation dates and previous church where your records may be kept.  When we have your address and phone, we can include your name and birthday in the newsletter (just month and day) and send the monthly newsletters and other mailings to you.

These yellow Membership Forms can be found in a file folder, near the front, in our Communication crate.  The Communication crate is located in the parish hall on the back table near the men’s restroom each Sunday.  Please fill one out for your family and return it to the office.  Or, call the office at 985-2495 and we will be happy to send one to you.
