Ministries

at Trinity

Ministries at Trinity Folsom are vital to all facets of life at Trinity, facilitating worship, providing hospitality, supporting formation, and aiding in pastoral care. Ministry volunteers serve God and our church community while making connections with others. All parishioners are encouraged to explore Trinity's ministries to find one that matches their gifts or interests. If you are interested in joining or learning more about a ministry, please contact the church office.

Worship Ministries

We believe that praise and worship are an energetic, active, integral link between God and God's people. Volunteers fill many vital roles in worship at Trinity, and opportunities to be a part of Trinity's worship ministries are always available for those who have a desire to serve. Fellowship Ministries

Coffee Hour Hosts

Coffee hour provides an opportunity for parishioners and visitors to socialize with friends and get know new people on Sunday mornings after each service. Trinity supplies coffee, tea, juice, and donuts each Sunday, but volunteers are needed to serve as hosts, attending to set-up, serving, and clean-up for each coffee hour.

Coffee hour hosts generally work in teams of two or three (though solo hosts are also welcome), and new hosts are paired with experienced hosts until they are comfortable on their own. Coffee hour hosts generally serve once a month at their preferred coffee hour, arriving approximately thirty minutes early to set up and brew the coffee, keeping an eye on supplies during the event, and staying for a little while to clean up after.

Hospitality Ministry

The Hospitality Ministry organizes, prepares food for, and hosts many of Trinity’s fellowship and special events. They also offer their services for wedding and funeral receptions held in the Parish Hall.

Campus Care Ministries

Garden Guild

The Garden Guild cares for and enhances our grounds through sustainable seasonal projects, transforming our gardens into an ecologically healthy and inviting part of our campus. The Garden Guild welcomes everyone—from master gardeners to those eager to learn—to join their team in the joyful work of outdoor ministry.

Trinity Tool Belts

Trinity Tool Belts is our dedicated campus fix-it ministry focused on the care and improvement of our church home. Working alone, in pairs, or as part of a team, they tackle the odd jobs, basic repairs, and facility upgrades that keep our campus safe, functional, and welcoming for all.

Formation Ministries

Sunday School Teachers

Under the guidance of our Director of Children's and Youth Ministries, Sunday School teachers and assistants work in teams to lead curriculum-based lessons for our Godly Play (K-2nd), Holy Moly (3rd-5th), and Middle School (6th-8th) classes. They are scheduled according to their preference and availability, from approximately once a month to every week.

Youth Group Volunteers

Our Youth Group (6th-12th grades) meets weekly on Sunday afternoons with our Director of Children's and Youth Ministries. Adult volunteers are always needed to provide supervision and meet Safe Church requirements.

Vacation Bible School Volunteers

Trinity's annual summer Vacation Bible School requires lots of support in a variety of roles throughout the week. Look for details in our weekly email newsletter, the Trinity Tidings, as VBS approaches.

Pastoral Ministries

Eucharistic Visitors

Eucharistic Visitors are lay Eucharistic Ministers licensed by the Bishop to administer the consecrated elements of the Eucharist. Eucharistic Visitors take communion and the love of our community to parishioners who are unable to attend services.

Flower Delivery Ministry

Flower Delivery Ministry volunteers deliver flower arrangements made from Sunday's altar flowers to parishioners to brighten their days and let them know they are in our thoughts and prayers. Addresses and directions are provided along with containers for transportation. Many deliveries are within Folsom, and most are less than a twenty-minute drive. Ministry volunteers are scheduled approximately twice a month, as their schedules allow.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry offers a proven and effective way to organize, equip, and supervise a team of congregation members—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, one-to-one, Christ-centered care to people in the congregation and the community experiencing life difficulties. To learn more about becoming a Stephen Minister, contact the office or speak with Brett Judson or Mother Anne, our Stephen Leaders.

Prayer Ministries

Intercessional prayers bring before God the needs of others. Through these prayers, we provide support to one another, especially in times of crisis, illness, or grief. If you feel called to serve as an intercessor for others, consider joining one of our intercessory prayer ministries. Learn more on our Prayer Ministries page.
